Honeybees

The Honeybees program is designed to develop your child’s basic skills, his or her knowledge of colors, sounds, textures, and feelings, while guiding their first steps toward independence.

About Honeybees

The Honeybees program is for children who celebrate their first birthday between the months of March and October. Students engage in an age-appropriate educational curriculum which focuses on a letter and theme of the week, shape and color of the month, and a number bi-weekly. Teachers submit weekly lesson plans which include hands-on educational activities to go along with all of the themes. The classroom is bright and filled with toys such as a play kitchen, a sensory table used for water, sand, and other tactile activities, matching and sorting games, and music for dancing and exercise (as well as calming and soothing sounds during nap). Daily circle time is the vehicle for accomplishing curriculum goals such as name recognition and identifying shapes, colors, and body parts. Regular arts and crafts activities encourage your child’s creativity and teach them how to hold and use art supplies correctly.

How to Prepare

Teachers provide written daily reports to let you know how your child’s day went and alert you of any needs as they arise. Your Honey Bee will need the following items throughout the school year.
